In the UK, BT operates in a market where it has significant market power. For this reason, the company is regulated by Ofcom. To fulfil regulatory requirements and produce the annual Regulatory Financial Statements, BT used a custom built cost management software. The tool was around for a few years and required constant coding and development to cope with new regulatory reporting<\/a> requirements.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

BT was looking for a cost calculation system that was fast, able to co-run scenarios and not\u00a0reliant on IT resources to upkeep the software.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>This is where CostPerform came in. We produced a proof of concept with and generated immediate results.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

“The runtime went down from several hours to just a few minutes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>CostPerform also provided additional scenario analysis capabilities, which was a new feature for BT. The finance team is now able to manage the system itself.
